A Pale Horse Named Death Announce New Album Release
The band formed and lead by Sal Abruscato have confirmed the release of their masterpiece second album, ‘Lay My Soul To Waste’, on SPV’s Steamhammer label on May 27.
‘Lay My Soul To Waste’, which picks up from 2011’s hugely acclaimed debut ‘And Hell Will Follow Me’, delves even deeper - both sonically and lyrically - into the depths of darkness that humanity is capable of.
“We wanted to display the advancements, musically and artistically, and retain the core element” states Abruscato. Open about the fantasy that dominates his lyrical point of view, he admits that all songs “have a line to reality…things that could and do happen every day.”

Dawn of Oblivion Re-Release Debut Album with 2 Bonus Tracks
In 1994, Swedish goth metal band Dawn of Oblivion unleashed their debut album A Fervent Prayer. It was released on Strontium Records after the band won a competition with the prize of a studio recording.
Since then, Dawn of Oblivion have made 4 further albums and 2 EPʼs, the last one released in 2009.
Between 2004 and 2012 the band had other projects and Dawn of Oblivion was put on hiatus for 8 years. In january 2012 they began playing clubs and festivals again, and were well received by new and old fans alike. All of this made them want to ”come alive” again and they started to write material for a new album.
On April 29th 2013, the first album saw the light again, remastered with 2 bonus tracks Ikaros ʼ94 and My Vision. Both tracks were recorded during the autumn 1994 and were intended to be on a single that was never released. That single will be available as a download E.P. later this year.
